Part 4 Signs in the Sky and the Dominion of the Saints

A popular speculation in the Church is "When is the return of Jesus?". But it is the wrong question.  The real question should be "When do the saints take dominion?". I will try to answer that question instead.

We have been through a series of strange signs in the sky in recent times.  Remember the "Blood Moons" of several years ago?  Several weeks ago it was the amazing solar eclipse across America.  Coming later this month on Sept. 23 is a very interesting fulfilment of the Rev.12:1....

"There appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun and the moon under her feet and upon her head a crown of twelve stars. And she being with child travailing in birth and pained to be delivered."

If you are not aware of the ferment on the internet about this great celestial sign and September 23 then I would recommend you investigate because it is very interesting and happens along with the other celestial signs to be the latest prophecy craze to be signs of the very imminent rapture of the Church for the "end time" prophecy fraternity.  Go to which is the largest website that I know dedicated to this Rev.12 September 23 sign in the heavens. When you go there go to the banner heading "The Sign" to get an overview of what is going on here.

Or go to Youtube and type in September 23. or view
Which is Steve Cioccolanti and Discovery Ministries presentation viewed already over 1,3 million times and I note other presentations on Youtube also over a million views. This is spreading throughout the evangelical movement worldwide so I really encourage you to get informed on this.  But I will give you my interpretation to compare.

The basic idea here is that this is an astronomical alignment of stars in the constellation of Virgo of stars, planets, sun and moon that last appeared in 11 September 3 BC as the sign of the birth of the Messiah (the sign that alerted the Magi of the East) and that same astronomical alignment is coming on 23 September 2017. This date falls at the end of the Jewish Feast of Trumpets and right in this year's Feast of Tabernacles.

The other fascinating sign was the recent solar eclipse in America that started in Salem, Oregon and went across 12 states ending in Charleston SC.  Now the really strange factoid here is that some prophecy guy discovered that this total eclipse went over 7 cities in America in 12 states that are named "Salem". (Salem OR, Salem ID, Salem WY, Salem NB, Salem MO, Salem KY, Salem SC.)

The prophetic significance that these folks are tying to this strange sign is that since "Salem" means ""peace" (as in "Shalom" or Jeru-shalom" city of peace) then the eclipse of "peace" seven times could signify great trouble ahead for America.

I have been following all of these debates on the web with great interest and I note that those committed to a "pre-trib rapture" theology are saying everything they possibly can that the Rapture is now upon us and the coming of Jesus is now a matter of no longer years or months away but weeks away...but with all the usual "now please note that we are not saying Jesus is coming on September 23."

I believe as I have told you in previous blogs that we are indeed in the "end times" of an important era.  There are signs in the heavens and on earth and in the Church to tell us that we are indeed on the cusp of a new era and the ending of an old era.

The crucial question is this: What is the next great move on God's historic timetable?

Is it the rapture of the Church and the coming of Jesus?  Let me explain to you why this is not so and what is in fact the next great move of God that all the dispensationalists studiously avoid.

Everyone seems to be looking for signs of the coming of Christ.  But there seems to be some very clear indications in scripture that something very important must happen before Jesus leaves heaven where He is enthroned at the right hand of the Father. It is repeated by:

Jesus in Luke 20:42-43 (Quoting David in the Psalms)
Repeated by Peter on the Day of Pentecost Acts 2:33-35
Repeated twice by the writer of Hebrews 1:13 and 10:13

What are all these verses saying....'For the Lord God (the father) said unto my Lord (Jesus Christ) sit thou at my right hand until I make all your enemies your footstool".

Peter goes on to explain when Jesus will return....
Acts 3:20-21  "And he shall send Jesus Christ which was preached unto you; whom the heavens must receive until the times of the restitution of all things which God has spoken by the mouth of all the holy prophets since the world began."

So we have a clear indication here of the return of the does not happen until all His enemies are made His footstool!
Jesus is taken up to heaven where all power in heaven and on earth is given unto Him.
Jesus remains in heaven seated at the right hand of the father until His enemies are made His footstool.
Jesus remains in heaven until the restitution of all things.  What do we mean by restoring all things that all the prophets spoke about?
For that we look to Genesis and Revelation.
What is to be restored is Eden...the place where the glorified Jesus Christ walked with Adam his administrator of earth.
We see this fulfilled in the glorious announcement of revelation 21:3 of the coming of the Lord..."Behold the tabernacle of God is with men and he will dwell with them and they shall be his people and God himself shall be with them and be their God."

This is the coming of the Lord that all the prophets and Jesus spoke about. The time when the government of God is established on earth, which is the New Jerusalem, which is the triumphant Church....when the Church has vanquished His enemies and the nations are being healed and discipled into the Kingdom of God...that is when Jesus descends and dwells once again among it was in Eden.

So what is the next great move of God?

It is found in Daniel 7:21...."and the time came that the saints possessed the kingdom".

It is repeated by Paul in Romans 8:19 ..."For the earnest expectation of creation waits for the manifestation of the sons of God".

When do the saints start to possess the Kingdom? Paul explains in Ephesians 4:10-13:
"He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens that he might fill all things.  And he gave some apostles, and some prophets and some evangelists and some pastors and teachers, for the perfecting of the saints for the work of the ministry for the edifying of the body of Christ; till we all come in the unity of the faith and the knowledge of the Son of God unto a perfect man unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ."

Can you see here that Paul is talking about something that is to happen to "the saints"?
Do you realize that Paul was well aware of the prophecy of Daniel 7:21 that the time will come when the saints must possess the kingdom?
Can you see that Paul who realized that all of creation is waiting and groaning for the manifestation of the sons of God is saying that Jesus ascended into heaven and gave gifts to mankind?
What gifts?  The offices and ministries that will raise up an army of saints to do the work of the ministry!
What is the "work of the ministry"?  To possess the kingdom for the King!
What is the job of the five-fold ministry in the church?  To bring the saints to full maturity in Christ to the full stature of Christ, to the unity of the faith...the unity of purpose and action!

So here is my prediction for 23 September 2017....there will be no rapture.
Because the next great happening on God's prophetic calendar is the collapsing of the Beast Empires of Daniel and Revelation and the rising up of the saints of God to possess the Kingdom of God and establish the New Jerusalem as the habitation for Christ on earth.

How could the next happening on God's calendar be the rapture of the saints when it is the saints who must possess the kingdom and make the enemies of Christ His footstool?  What is the point of the perfecting of the saints unto the work of the ministry if all that the Lord wants to do is get the saints off planet earth?

But what do the signs of the heavens and on earth and in the nations and in the church mean?

Here is my interpretation of the signs of the times:

Babylon is falling.

The Church is transitioning...from Sunday morning meetings to the army of God to heal the nations.

But when do the saints possess the kingdom?

We need to analyze in future blogs some of the signs of when this is so and what are our strategies to survive and thrive in the transition of the ages....
