Turkey, False Prophecy and the Greater Deception

I need to respond to a number of false prophecy interpretations of the crisis situation in Turkey that have appeared on the internet in various ministry websites and then use that is a basis for my real concern....a coming great deception that the Church is not prepared for.

As example I will use our local Joy magazine once again as an example of the false prophecy interpretation and will quote their online JoyDigital article entitled:

Turkey's Role in Bible Prophecy and Why It Matters
Quote:
Over the past 24 hours, the world has been on edge watching the events transpiring in Turkey with an attempted “Coup” that apparently ended in failure. However, some are reporting that the coup was actually staged by Turkey’s own leader.  The sudden conflict resulted in more than 2800 detained and 250 dead.  So here is the big question many believers have. Why do we need to pay attention to Turkey? Well for one, 2,600 years ago, the prophet Ezekiel foretold of a time when a coalition of predominately Muslim Nations would gather together to invade the nation of Israel.
This well-known war is Known as “The War of  Gog and Magog”  According to the book Ezekiel Chapters 38 and 39 This confederacy of Nations will attack Israel during a relatively peaceful state that appears to be generated by a recent conflict resulting in a “state of peace” for the Jewish Nation. According to the prophet, “After many days you will be visited. In the latter years, you will come into the land of those brought back from the sword and gathered from many people on the mountains of Israel, which had long been desolate; they were brought out of the nations, and now all of them dwell safely.” – Ezekiel 38:8
You will say, ‘I will go up against a land of unwalled villages; I will go to a peaceful people, who dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates’—Ezekiel 38:11
Notice in this last passage the prophet tells us that in the “latter days” of Israel they would actually dwell in a time when they would be “without walls”. having no bar nor gates. This is definitely not the case in 2016. Israel has many walls that prevent terrorists and her enemies from breaching the city of Jerusalem and the surrounding cities of Israel. However, the Word of God tells us that the day is coming that they will come into a false sense of “Peace” in which they will lower their guards making them vulnerable for these Nations to invade! Personally, I believe this will fulfill the bible passage that says:
1 Thessalonians 5:3 – For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.
The nations cited by Ezekiel are each referenced in the Old Testament, yet they all represent nations which exist today. Long before Russia became a major world power most biblical scholars identified Magog as the nation of Russia and Gog as the ruler of Russia. These other nations mentioned in Ezekiel 38 are:
Magog = Russia
Persia = Iran
Cush = Ethiopia

Put = Libya
Gomer = Turkey / Some have Identified as Eastern Europe
Beth-Togarmah = Turkey

The Bible indicates that in the “latter days” the lord will put a “hook in the jaw” of these Nations listed including the Nation of Turkey and will according to the prophet, will ascend, coming like a storm, covering the land like a cloud, you and all your troops and many peoples with you.” –Ezekiel 38:9.
So Turkey will be significant in the near future regarding biblical prophecy. They will unite with several other Nations and attempt to destroy the Nation of Israel but will ultimately fail according to what has been foretold in the bible. So just what will befall these Nations? Well Israel will not need to rely on America, Britain or any of her allies to defend her because God himself will step in the scene and the following will take place:
My Interpretation:
If you look at the above quoted article in JoyDigital you can already see the total implausibility of how Turkey fits into supposed Biblical prophecy.  You go through that list of supposed nations that are to form a confederation invasion force of Israel and it just does not make any sense whatsoever.  By the way if you look at the author's interpretation of "Gomer" in all prophecy books like Late Great Planet Earth" Gomer is supposed to be Germany.  Really? Ethiopia? Invade Israel? Israel who has at least 200 nuclear weapons and the ability to deliver them anywhere in the world? Russia who is signing military and technology and commercial agreements with Israel? And America who has sworn to protect Israel from all enemies with military bases in Turkey and all across the region....you think they will allow Turkey its NATO ally to invade Israel?
In my book you will have an extensive historical and accurate interpretation of Ezekiel's prophetic question "Can these bones live again?" Can the captured and dispersed nation of Israel once again return to their land from the nations and become an independent nation once again?
The answer to that by the Lord was an emphatic Yes! But not in 2500 years time in 1948 but in 390 years time from the year that they start their return back after Cyrus let them leave Babylon in 533 BC. In fact the Lord told Ezekiel exactly how many years it would take before they achieved independence (390 years) and when they would have a king of Israel again (40 years after independence). That is found in Ezekiel 4:1-8...a war for Jerusalem and a struggle of 390 years and 40 years. And history tells us that the War of the Maccabees that started in 167 BC finally ended in 141 BC with Israel recognized as an independent nation by Rome and Syria and in 101 BC Israel once again crowned a king.
Then years later in 37 BC the last king of Israel Aristobulus was overthrown by Herod who got permission from Anthony in Rome to use the Roman legions of Syria to overthrow the Israel monarchy and proclaim himself king of Israel. He was the Gog prophesied by Ezekiel and his multi-national army of all the nationalities mentioned by Ezekiel did invade the land of Israel "to come and take spoil" and the Lord finally defeated that Edomite/Gog/Magog lot in 70AD in Jerusalem at the battle of Armageddon.
If you want more details read my book.  But let me say this about the deception in the church and the false prophets:
My Response:
The modern evangelical church is filled with the same Judaizers that Paul had to battle with in his day. They came out of the Jerusalem mother church and so seemed highly authoritative to the new gentile believers.  We suffer the same thing today. They come out of the American "mother church" and seem so authoritative with charts and books and persuasive preachers all with the same message which is basically this:
The church cannot disciple the nations into the Kingdom of God because it is not time yet for the Kingdom of God, the devil is going to win, the church needs to be raptured out of here to protect it from the persecution of the devil; the nations are going to attack Israel who will then be miraculously be saved and converted by Christ and 144,000 "Billy Graham" Jewish evangelists will then usher in the Kingdom Age preaching the gospel of the Kingdom.
Paul tried desperately to counter this whole idea coming out of the Jerusalem church that your genetic link to Abraham made you special. His letters to Romans, Ephesians, Galatians are filled with explanations that "not all Israel is Israel", that a true child of Abraham is not of the flesh but one who has the faith of Abraham, that we are now longer Jew and Gentile but all one Body of Christ etc etc.
History tells us that Paul lost his argument and in fact all the churches of Asia turned against him. Then Jesus had to personally appear to John on Patmos to tell him to warn the churches of Asia what He told the people of Jerusalem, "this generation" will see the destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple, flee when you see the armies surrounding the city. And that is what a major portion of Revelation is all about: Jerusalem is about to fall. There will be a great war (Armageddon) of 42 months, blood will flow, the Roman beast (whose number was 666 and which John could not put in print) was coming to destroy. Jesus spelled it out for them, "I know those who call themselves Jews but are not..." He tried to tell them that the old Jerusalem is a harlot but there is a New Jerusalem coming out of the heavens.
None of those warnings by both Paul or the Lord Jesus helped. The Jerusalem church which James proudly told Paul in his last visit contained thousands of believers "all zealous for the law", all those many thousands of believers stayed in Jerusalem with the approaching army of the Romans coming in 70 AD. All believed the Messiah was coming, Jesus was coming to smite the enemies of Israel and finally reign as the son of David over a restored Israel as King.  There were numerous prophets with clear scriptures proving from the prophecies of Daniel that now was the time finally when the "saints are to possess the kingdom" (Dan. 7:21) the "saints" being the Jews.  Jesus the Messiah promised He would return soon. He would come to save "His people" the Jews and restore Israel at the head of the nations.
The entire rebellion and uprising of the Jews against Rome that started in 66 AD with the slaughter of the Roman garrison in Jerusalem was premised by the zealots on the basis of scripture prophecy. They were not stupid. They knew they were up against the mightiest military empire in human history. They knew they were only a handful. But they earnestly believed that scripture prophecy showed that the 70 weeks of Daniel's prophecy had come, the Jerusalem church had started a city wide and national revival based on a return to the law and preaching the return of the Messiah and everyone expected the Messiah would miraculously appear to save Jerusalem and restore the Kingdom to Israel. Which was the uppermost thought in the disciples mind before the ascension of Christ on the Mount of Olives, "Lord will you now restore the kingdom to Israel?"
Now here is the secret that church historians will not tell you about Nero's persecutions of the church in Rome. His persecutions started in 66 AD. Why the Christians? Rome's religious policy was that they were tolerant of all religions...just don't make trouble!  But when the uprising started in Jerusalem his advisors told him: The uprising started with Christians preaching the coming of the Messiah to set up His Kingdom in Jerusalem and free Israel from the Romans.  The Christians became the enemy of Rome throughout the empire. Before 66 AD they were basically ignored by the Roman authorities.
After the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD historians will tell you only a small handful of believers from the Jerusalem church actually obeyed the Lord's warning and escaped the city to flee to Petra across the Jordan.  That was also the end of the Judaizer problem in the church. Until the evangelical church of the 20th century once again started that cult movement.
We are once again being set up like the early church to go all out to support the idea that "Israel" is a national, genetic, biological entity and that God is intent on setting up earthly Jerusalem as His place of residence with a restored Temple and nations coming there for worship.  I have tried so many times to explain scripture the way Paul laid it out, Israel is the spiritual seed of Abraham, the flesh means nothing, the Temple of God is His Church, the New Jerusalem is His Bride, Jesus told the Samaritan woman at the well the time is coming when people will not worship God in Jerusalem but in spirit for God is spirit...or tried to show the historical fulfilment of all the prophecies of Ezekiel before the time of Christ....nothing helps. The deception is so deeply rooted in evangelical Christianity that no argument from either history or scripture makes any difference.
So here is what I see is actually happening and will happen in the future.....
Someone in both Israel and American high positions of authority and policy making looks like they actually believe all those "end time Armageddon" prophecies because take a look across the Middle East....every possible nation that could possibly be a threat to national Israel is being eliminated.  All those supposed nations that are to be part of an Israel invasion force are being wiped and bombed into oblivion....Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya....do you think any of those nations have the industrial capability anymore to arm themselves with a modern army?
And here is my conspiracy projection.  There are three more nations on the Armageddon check list that need to be eliminated:  Iran, Russia and China. Iran and Russian are there on the list for obvious reasons. China needs to be destroyed because they are supposed to be the leader of a 200 million man army that must be part of the Armageddon invasion force.  I foresee the same hidden power centres to do what ever  is possible to create a war scenario against Iran, Russia and China.  That means I believe there are very dangerous war clouds on the horizon.
And here is what I further predict....Jeremiah 19:11 God says the day is coming that he will destroy Jerusalem like a potter breaks a vessel that you can never put back together.  The religious zealots in America and Israel are going to take what they think is Bible prophecy in hand and try to fulfil what they think is Bible prophecy as the zealots did in 66 AD and in the war to come....Jerusalem will be destroyed like it was in 70 AD....and that will be the end of the Judaizers in the Church. This is a terrible prospect and I have no desire to see any of this.  This coming great world disruption will not only be the end of Jerusalem, but the end of the world financial system and I also believe that Israel will strike back heavily against the Islamic world and this can also mean the end of Islamic radicalism.
I say this not from "Thus saith the Lord", I have seen no visions, or heard from any angels. I merely see the trajectory that the world is now on and the dead end that the evangelical church is on and I match that to what I believe is sound interpretation of history and prophecy. But I also believe that prayer and intercession and revival can change the course of world events because it has changed world events.
My admonition to you in this blog:  There is prophetic deception in the Church today just like in the New Testament church. We are not immune to false prophets, false teachers.  There are dangerous times ahead. The world economy and world power structures are not stable nor sustainable.  The only thing that will remain when the dust settles is the sure Word of God and His abiding Kingdom.
